Setlog is a company operating on an international scale. It is a provider of software solutions through which the entire value chain – from the bidding phase to delivery at the POS – is managed and monitored. Setlog’s software products are optimally configured to the requirements of corporations dealing in fast moving consumer goods (FMCG)

OSCA – Online Supply Chain Accelerator – is Setlog’s product suite of cloud-based software solutions. It empowers the efficient and optimized management of global value-chains. OSCA has been specifically developed for real-time online use. Collaboration of all partners/parties on a single platform ensures maximum transparency along your entire Supply Chain. OSCA’s modular configuration as well as in the inter-connectivity of individual product components enables us to provide you with the exact setup needed Enhancements can be implemented immediately and hassle-free at any time.

Purchase Order Management is the platform which ensures optimal handling of all processes: from the generation of the purchase order to delivery of the finished product to the freight carrier.

Purchase orders can be directly generated in OSCA or imported from your ERP-System. You are presented with a complete, consistent and transparent overview of all master and order data.

As your suppliers and/or agents are connected to OSCA, they can thus review and confirm the accuracy of the order directly within the system. Their paperless electronic signature, immediately available, is highly cost- and time- effective.

The critical path for each purchase order is constantly being calculated. Planned dates are confirmed once suppliers / agents have determined shipment dates, transport modes, delivery terms and quantities. A central warning system alerts you to all deviations or delays. You are at all times in a position to respond flexibly to changes.

Our solutions are tailored to your specific requirements and include the vast array of transportation processes. You are able to manage all transport-relevant processes from the time of booking till the actual arrival of the goods at their destination. Create transparency for your forwarders, import and customs departments and warehouses.

OSCA assists you in managing the optimal utilization of a container, considering container type, product quality, volume etc. A warning system alerts you when transport units are not sufficiently well utilized. The possibility to intervene timeously reduces costs significantly!

You receive comprehensive electronic Advanced Shipping Notice (ASN) within OSCA. The ASN contains the information of both the supplier and the carrier. You therefore know exactly when which goods are being transported and by whom. Detailed consignment data is immediately available and are provided both per order and as per transportation unit!

You can now avoid receiving packing list layouts that differ from one another; insufficient information regarding quantities or illegible carton labels through the generation of electronic packing lists, including carton information and automatic reconciliation of order details of an order. The information generated within OSCA can be used to create barcode-labels for each individual packing unit. These can be scanned and registered when the goods leave the factory; at the forwarders, or when the goods are received.

Manage your logistics providers’ freight tenders. The process is designed to be easy, centralized and clear. Individual quotes or “all-in” rates; any number of transportation-routes and -volumes are calculated “door-to-door.” This includes additional expenses and currency adjustments so that at a single mouse click 1:1 terms can be compared.

The sale of the goods depends on their quality. Quality control is of the essence – it is here where you invest a great deal of time and money. Use OSCA’s QC module to manage these processes as efficiently as possible and so achieve the highest possible quality verifiability.

The planning of inspections during and / or at the end of the production phase must be optimally scheduled so that downstream processes are not delayed. OSCA’s automatic deadline-calculator also takes into consideration the date of shipping of your goods. Process delays are thus no longer an issue. The detailed results of the various inspections, together with the inspection report, are deposited in the system and can thus be evaluated.

Besides instruments and modules for Inline- and Final Inspections, OSCA also offers you a complete Quality Control module which enables you to record the scope of the inspection and detailed results of individual partial tests. The result of the inspection is then either automatically determined, or specified by you. Follow-up processes such as finishing or retesting can then be initiated and managed. It goes without saying that OSCA is also able to provide an inspection report – detailed, consistent and in the required layout.

A factory should always conform to your quality standards and obtain appropriate certification. OSCA reviews the certification database to ascertain whether a factory has the necessary criteria needed to complete a specific order; and whether these criteria are adhered to for the entire production period. At the time you place your order you are warned of any deviations and are able to take appropriate measures.

The logistical aspect of your Supply Chain frequently becomes the focus in determining the punctual delivery of good quality products. In reality however, delays and holdups occur earlier in the process – during planning or production – and cannot be offset even by the most perfect transport management. OSCA’s Pre-/Production Modules therefore focus on optimally timed production management.

Time & Action Calendars are at the heart of OSCA’s Pre-/Production Module. They unite all (pre-) production working steps into one critical path, which, besides planned versus actual comparisons and the de facto completion of a task, offers centralized communication and the exchange of datasets. Typical work steps include: the matching of prototypes, designs, colors, measurement charts, size sets, accessories or labels and tags. Transparency and continuous calculation of time remaining till the due date facilitates and accelerates decision-making. The integration of an early warning system gives early notice should production and delivery deadlines be in jeopardy due either to default or the non-completion of individual steps preceding production.

Through the inclusion of sample- and approval-processes in the (pre-) production critical path, you at all times have an overview of current production progress. All those involved are given transparent information regarding when the various samples (e.g. SizeSets, Washing Samples, etc.) must be shipped and approved so as not endanger timely completion of production.

OSCA’s Production Reporting Function gives you the opportunity to monitor the status of your production. The report is divided according to quantities and production steps: weaving/embroidery; cutting; stitching/finished goods, washing. Calculation of the critical path which takes into account the production times of each producer, each category of goods or model, enables to identify at risk pickup and delivery dates at an early stage.

Once the goods have left their port of origin and are in transit it is high time to plan downstream processes which ensure the delivery of the goods to the corresponding warehouse or directly to your customer. OSCA’s Warehousing Module assists you to avoid time squeezes and accelerates the flow of goods.

As soon as notification has been received regarding the shipment, delivery planning creates a detailed list (date of arrival, type of packaging, end buyer, delivery date) of the respective goods according to order and item level – i.e. per batch. In this way the goods can be dispatched to the respective warehouses and finishers already shortly after they have been loaded or during transport. Order-picking; consignment to specific destination countries, and optimal consolidation of goods can similarly take place already in the country of origin. The goal here is direct delivery; a shortening of transit times; significant savings potential with regard to transportation and transaction costs and time.

With the assistance of OSCA’s Gate/ Warehouse Facility Modules you can easily determine how many containers, palettes, cartons or individual items can be received, stored or commissioned per day, week and month individually for each warehouse. The system automatically indicates exceeded capacities and thus the warehouse can plan ahead accordingly, schedule arrangements also with regard to warehouse personnel. Represented detailed gate-block functions help to manage and optimize the use of unloading ramps to full capacity and to pre-book specific slots for a delivery.

The success of the company depends as much on cash flows as on the flow of goods within your value chain. Those factors are inescapably linked. Thus OSCA integrates diverse Modules to handle financial activities.

The success of the company depends as much on cash flows as on the flow of goods within your value chain. Those factors are inescapably linked. Thus OSCA integrates diverse Modules to handle financial activities.

International business transactions generally have to be paid in the currency of the country of origin or in US Dollars. OSCA enables you to plan accurately the procurement of foreign currencies, taking into account foreign exchange risk. Based on the terms of payment agreed upon, OSCA further assists you in determining your cash needs in the various currency units.

Invoice verification is automatically effected through reconciliation of your forwarders’ stored shipment dates and their freight tenders. Automatic invoice reconciliation results in at least a factor 5 saving in time and costs. The error rate which results from erroneous payment of invoices is eliminated. All invoices are archived and are retrievable online at any time. The results are posted automatically in the Post-Cost-Calculation. There they can be further evaluated. Normal invoicing can be replaced by an (electronic) credit note procedure. Thus Invoice Management enables the optional transfer of invoice verification to your service provider.

The utilization and evaluation of available information and data is vitally important. This is the only possible way to identify improvement potential and to ascertain the success of measures that have already been introduced. Not only cost elements, but lead times, loss volumes, and adherence to delivery deadlines must be taken into consideration. OSCA offers custom-designed solutions which take all your needs into account.

Future calculations are based on the results of past cost-accounting reports. Container- and truck-optimization lead to optimal shipping plans calculated to accommodate the production plans of each individual supplier. Let your goal be the optimal utilization of transport capacities per container/truck. The decisive elements – pieces per container/truck, the size of the pieces and/or the cartons and the supplier’s production plan – are available in the relevant database and are linked to one another. In this way the entire transportation costs per piece and supplier can be pre-calculated. Downstream Post-Cost Calculation assists in calculating and analyzing the actual costs per piece according to relevant criteria (supplier, means of transportation, product group etc.). The detailed data obtained forms the basis of realistic planned costs for future transports.

OSCA not only provides swift analysis of cost-relevant aspects of the above-named areas; it also incorporates an additional Analysis Module aligned with your individual requirements. Thus for example in the event of recurring supply disruptions, claims, insufficient container utilization or high airfreight charges, the Analysis Module calculates the reliability of a particular supplier to honor delivery date deadlines according to various product groups, seasons or countries of origin. A mere mouse click is enough to calculate the percentage distribution of the various means of transportation (sea, air, truck, etc.) and allocate these according to supplier, port of departure or country of origin. When the freight tenders of your various carriers have been entered in the System you have a comprehensive economic overview. It goes without saying that all analyses can also be depicted graphically. Use the Analysis Module to discover errors and improvement potential. Sustainably optimize all processes.

Suppliers and factories are an essential part and factor of success in your value chain. However, successful Supplier Relations Management is more than mere master data organization. Quality, social and service-oriented aspects play an ever increasing role. Inform yourself and ask us about OSCA’s Supplier Relations Management Tools.

Within OSCA you can manage a vast amount of supplier- and factory master data. Besides the address and contact information our Vendor Database enables you to as well categorize your suppliers and factories according to product groups as well as to details about the economic relevance (e.g. buying volume). Furthermore, relationships between suppliers and factories can be linked to one another.

Use our CSR Tool to gain a central overview of all manufacturing operations and their trade partners in terms of social audits. Each audit including necessary corrective actions can be scheduled and controlled individually. An integrated early warning feature alerts you when a milestone is due or not met. Global, centralized access to all audit data, reports and certificates enables you to independently integrate all your CSR activities on one central platform.

Analyze and develop your sourcing-portfolios! Price, service, adherence to schedules and compliance with social standards are the criteria which determine the assessment of suppliers and factories. Each of these criteria can then be further refined and individually weighted among each other’s significance. Each assessment is then evaluated in relation to the generation of the desired price level. The graphical analysis thus derived about the development of the sourcing portfolios and can be made for each criterion per year, season, half-year or quarter.

OSCA assists you in optimizing your freight management independently from your order- or delivery-related processes. Prepare tenders, analyze results or manage payment plans simply, centrally, on a uniform basis.

Manage the freight offers of your logistics service providers whether as individual quote or as “all-in” rate. All possible transportation-routes and -volumes are displayed “door-to-door.” They include incidental costs and are adjusted for currency translation. Thus a mouse click makes 1:1 terms and conditions visible and comparable. This applies to all modes of transport.

OSCA’s solutions which result in optimal management of your value chain are communicative and seamlessly integrated into your existing IT-infrastructure. The connection to existing systems; the data exchange with these existing systems is extremely relevant. It is also multifaceted and highly complex. Setlog offers you a variety of possibilities for multi-lateral data exchange. These are specially developed to meet your requirements and thus minimizing IT related work on your side. Most of the time, OSCA can facilitate existing EDI routine already in place in your IT infrastructure.

OSCA supports common message standards (ANSI x12, iDOC, EDIFact, but also XML or flat files) and communication layers (e.g. sFTP, AS2, Webservices).

OSCA’s dialog functions are available parallel to all Supply Chain Management processes. All partners are able to communicate directly with regard to specific orders, delivery plans, transportation or queries. Special overviews on the Dashboard point to new, unanswered dialogs. Thus your communication is directly linked to the related process and you have a continuous and complete overview of the current state of all activities.

The Document Management allows each authorized partner to upload and account for any necessary documentation of goods; test reports; sketches; certificates; freight documents (invoices, certificates of origin, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates) on order- style- and/or shipment level. Thus all documentation is centrally available and referenced. All stored data is tamper proof and can be reviewed at any time.

The Dashboard: OSCA’s homepage. The Dashboard gives a comprehensive overview of all time-critical articles, orders or shipments; as well as of all open dialogs. The To-dos are divided according to the areas and its corresponding tasks. They are the early warning system through which day-to-day operations can be managed and concluded efficiently and purposefully. Management by Exception is the fundamental philosophy for the development of the Dashboard. Through it you attain an immense acceleration of processes and a resultant saving in process costs and time.

Accessory Management assists you in managing and controlling the accessory stocks or raw materials in your warehouse, as well as those still with the external suppliers. Minimum amounts for each individual order; the minimum stock level or the different prices asked by various suppliers can be deposited and identified in the System. Accessory Management can either be detached from other Modules of the OSCA Suite or integrated to them.

OSCA is a platform that integrates the management of all process along your value chain. Diverse analysis instruments are integrated into the various overviews and functions. All available data can be evaluated graphically in a chart function. Setlog’s Excel- or PDF-Export function is available if you need the data outside the OSCA platform.
